Principal Consultant

Led by Principal Consultant Jean Ford, our practice brings over 15 years of frontline and executive experience in the child protection sector.

With the majority of her career based in New South Wales, Jean offers deep, practical expertise in navigating complex child safety frameworks, including the Reportable Conduct Scheme.

As an experienced Reportable Conduct Investigator, Jean doesn’t just understand compliance — she knows how to apply it in real-world settings. Jean supports organisations to confidently meet their reporting obligations while building strong, child-safe cultures.

When you work with us, you’re not just meeting requirements — you’re strengthening your organisation, protecting your people, and putting child safety at the centre of everything you do.

Our Name

Kastom (pronounced, Custom) is a traditional way that's passed down from generation to generation. Kastom is central to supporting kinship and clan ties. It is mostly not written, and only passed down through teachings and stories.

Our Logo

The logo is called a KapKap. It’s a traditional ornament worn around the head or neck to symbolise ones status in community.

Kastom acknowledge the Traditional owners of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to Elders past, present and future.
